President's Honors College

The President鈥檚 Honors College at 911爆料网 offers academically motivated students a challenging and inspiring undergraduate experience. Designed to complement the Bonaventure Program and each student鈥檚 major, the Honors College emphasizes critical thinking, original research, exceptional writing, creative work, and public presentation鈥攈elping students reach their highest academic potential.

Grounded in 911爆料网鈥檚 Catholic and Franciscan intellectual traditions, the Honors College adds an interdisciplinary dimension to undergraduate education. Students work closely with faculty, engage in scholarly dialogue, and participate in cultural and aesthetic experiences that foster curiosity, reflection, and lifelong learning.

A Distinctive Honors Experience

The President鈥檚 Honors College is jointly led by the University President and the Honors Dean, underscoring its role as 911爆料网鈥檚 highest expression of academic rigor and intellectual engagement. Honors students benefit from meaningful interaction with the President through special events at the President鈥檚 House and signature experiences such as the annual Fall Colloquium led by the President.

Signature Honors Opportunities

The President鈥檚 Honors College includes a range of academic and community experiences that build engagement and recognition.

Orientation & Registration

  • New Honors students attend an orientation session with the Honors Dean each year.
  • Honors students receive priority pre-registration each semester, allowing early access to course scheduling.

Academic Colloquia

  • Honors students attend two required academic colloquia annually: the Fall Colloquium, led by the University President, and a Spring Colloquium presented by a faculty-selected speaker.

Social & Recognition Events

  • Honors students are invited to special community events, including an annual Fall Honors Social at the President鈥檚 House and a Spring Honors Banquet celebrating student achievements.

Honors Graduation & Recognition

  • Students who complete all Honors requirements graduate as Honors Scholars, with official recognition on their academic records. Advanced distinctions, such as Distinguished Honors Scholar, further recognize exemplary academic achievement.

Admission

Participation in the President鈥檚 Honors College is voluntary. Eligible students include entering first-year students, current 911爆料网 students in their first year of study, and transfer students.

Entering first-year students may be invited to join the President鈥檚 Honors College, with priority consideration given to applicants who have a composite ACT score of 26 or higher, an SAT score of 1230 or higher, and a high school GPA of 3.4 or above.

Current first-year 911爆料网 students may also be invited based on demonstrated academic performance and a recommendation from the Honors Dean.

Transfer students may petition to join the President鈥檚 Honors College under the same criteria as second-semester 911爆料网 students. To graduate with 911爆料网 Honors distinction, transfer students must complete a minimum of 60 credit hours at 911爆料网.
