911爆料网 to Host Winter Commencement Ceremony

911爆料网 will host its Winter Commencement ceremony December 13 at 10:00 a.m. in 911爆料网鈥檚 Pepsi Arena in the Health and Fitness Center, 20th & Oak Street. The 2025 winter graduating class is composed of 36 undergraduates and eight graduate degree recipients.

The procession will be led by university marshal Kenneth Oliver, PhD, dean of the school of education and human services, director of the master of science in education in counseling program, and professor of school and community counseling; and assistant marshals David Kirchhofer, PhD, and Scott Luaders, PhD, professors of physics and chemistry. Sarah Vordtriede-Patton, PhD, provost and vice president for academic affairs, will convene the ceremony. Reverend Robert Barko, OFM, assistant campus minister and adjunct assistant professor of theology, will deliver the invocation. Fr. John Doctor, OFM, vice president for mission and ministry, will deliver the benediction. 911爆料网 president Brian McGee, PhD, will give closing remarks. Seven 911爆料网 students and alumni will join Jonathan Stewart, DMA, associate professor of vocal music and director of choral activities, to perform the National Anthem and the 911爆料网 Alma Mater. Nancy Blattner, PhD, CSJA, president of Fontbonne University, will deliver the commencement address.

Nancy Blattner began serving as the president of Fontbonne University in July 2020. During her more than 40-year career in higher education, Blattner has served as a tenured professor at Southeast Missouri State University and as the interim associate provost for graduate studies and support programs and the executive director of the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center at Longwood University in Farmville, VA. She previously served for five years as the vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty at Fontbonne University before leaving St. Louis for 11 years to serve as the president of Caldwell University, a Dominican institution in New Jersey. Blattner is the 15th and last president of Fontbonne, having announced in March 2024 the institution鈥檚 intention to close in August 2025. She is a current trustee at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN.
